How the Maldives is adapting to sea level rise
Lessons from a sinking island nation
Conrad Richardson, a previous guest on the Green Urbanist Podcast, is making high quality, engaging and well-researched videos on urbanism and climate change. In the video below he visits the Maldives and shows how this island archipelago is attempting to adapt to rising sea levels. I had no idea how densely populated some of these islands are. Working in an impossible situation, they are trying a variety of solutions, from flood defences to migration to floating cities.
